Regular Meeting

 

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Halstad was duly called and held at the Halstad Telephone Company Community Room in said City on May 7, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.

 

                Mayor Brookshire presided at the meeting.

 

The following members were absent:   .Tom Maroney

Zoning Permits 4-A

 

Renae Horning moved to approve the Agenda.  Shane Carlson seconded the motion.  Unanimous

 

Minutes of the April meetings were examined and approved.  Motion for approval was made by Ron Gotteberg and seconded by Shane Carlson. Unanimous

 

                All claims for the month of April were examined.  Motion for approval was made by Ron Gotteberg and seconded by Renae Horning.  Unanimous

 

Renae Horning moved to approve Zoning Permit Applications from Gaylan & Sharon Larson (deck) – Rick Leiser (fence).  Shane Carlson seconded the motion. Unanimous

 

Ron Gotteberg moved to approve purchase of up to $5,000.00 for gravel and crushed rock.  Renae Horning seconded the motion.  Unanimous

 

Ron Gotteberg moved to pass the following Resolution:

Resolution No. 050707

A Resolution Authorizing The Sale of

Lots One (1) and Two (2) in Block Eleven (11) of the Original

                Townsite, of the City of Halstad, Norman County, Minnesota

                A resolution authorizing the sale of the following described Property:

Lots One (1) and Two (2) in Block Eleven (11) of the Original

Townsite, of the City of Halstad, Norman County, Minnesota

WHEREAS, the City of Halstad is the owner of the above-described property in Block Eleven (11) of the Original Townsite to the City of Halstad, Norman County, Minnesota, and,

WHEREAS, The City of Halstad desires to transfer said property to Dr. Joy Suda and Jim Suda, for no cost, in order to stimulate business development in the City of Halstad.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, That the City of Halstad shall sell at no cost to Dr. Joy Suda and Jim Suda the above-described property;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Halstad and the City Clerk are authorized to execute and deliver any documents necessary to effectuate said transfer and the deed conveying the interest of the City of Halstad in said property to Dr. Joy Suda and Jim Suda.

 Glen Brookshire seconded the motion.  Unanimous.

 

Shane Carlson moved to adjourn.  Renae Horning seconded the motion.  The next regular meeting of the Council will be June 11, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.
