April 9, 2007

Regular Meeting

 

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Halstad was duly called and held at the Halstad Telephone Company Community Room in said City on April 9, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.

 

                Mayor Brookshire presided at the meeting.

 

The following members were absent: None

 

Additions to Agenda:  

Zoning Permit Application Item 9

Fire Department 5-A

Pet Clinic 24th of April

 

Two bids were opened for Sewer Plant improvements.  The Municipal Utility Commission along with Widseth-Smith-Nolting (Engineers) will review the bids and either recommend one or reject all.  A report will be given at the May council meeting.

 

Ron Gotteberg moved to approve the Agenda.  Renae Horning seconded the motion.  Unanimous

 

Minutes of the March meetings were examined and approved.  Motion for approval was made by Ron Gotteberg and seconded by Renae Horning. Unanimous

 

                All claims for the month of March were examined.  Motion for approval was made by Tom Maroney and seconded by Glen Brookshire. Unanimous

 

                Todd Westcott gave a report on the Fire Department. 

 

                Sunrise Apartment maintenance was brought up as an issue…   Mayor Brookshire will send a letter is to the custodian listing issues that need to be addressed. 

 

                May 1st Cleanup day in Halstad

 

                Utility Commission indicated that a rate increases will be coming soon for garbage, sewer, water, and electricity. 

 

                Renae Horning moved to approve a zoning application of Ron Gotteberg.  Shane Carlson seconded the motion.  Unanimous

 

Tom Maroney moved to adjourn.  Shane Carlson seconded the motion.  The next regular meeting of the Council will be May 7, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.
